Weekend Workshops
For many venues, a five-day workshop is not practical. This often depends on the nature of the clientele. Venues that offer workshops or short-form classes to a local audience often need to present events on the weekend when participants are off work. Another option is a three-day workshop where participants only have to take Friday off. Of course coverage of subject matter is limited according to the length of the workshop, but I can easily adapt most workshops to that format. In addition to abbreviated versions of all my standard workshops, the following are additional subjects for two or three-day workshops.
Weekend Workshop Subjects
- Soft-Slab Covered Boxes
- Stiff-Slab Covered Boxes
- Advanced Stiff-Slab Covered Boxes
- Soft-Slab Teapots
- Stiff-Slab Teapots
- Wheel-Thrown Teapots
- Soft-Slab Planters
- Bonsai planters
- Coil-Construction
- Making and Using Bisque-Stamps
- Ancient Clay (no firing)
- Making Good Wheel-Thrown Mugs
- Making Good Soft-Slab Mugs

These are just a few suggestions, and weekend workshops can be designed to fit the needs or wishes of a particular group. After a half century of professional involvement in ceramics, I can teach almost any subject, but I do not do workshop on glazes or glazing. Please email me if you have questions or are interested in scheduling one of my workshops.
